better than what you expect

I usually don't give 5 stars but this product deserve it. I must say that I only went out a couple of times in trails that are not demanding so my rating may be premature but all components are working well and I have a good feeling about quality. I am using mountain bike since when they first came out 30 years ago, I felt I didn't need disc brake because, unless you buy quality you only open the door to trouble and maintenance. This is a technology that you don't need unless you run competitive races. You don't need back suspension unless you do jumps or downhill specialties. The back suspension absorb your kinetic energy when you push in the pedals. This is the best bike for your money if you start or for occasional demanding rides.

Great bike, good value and easy to assemble!

This bike is perfect for my 7 year old! He absolutely loves it. We put the seat all the way down so plenty of room to grow. Assembly was pretty straight forward and took less than an hour. The only thing I would say is shifting back down is a little tough, but he is still able to do it and doesn’t seem to be an issue for him. We haven’t used it enough yet to comment on wear, but the price was right and so far we are very satisfied with this bike. Don’t hesitate to buy sooner than later, it seems bicycles are already selling out quickly with spring weather being just around the corner. I would definitely recommend this purchase!

I gave this bike 4-star base on it’s price and quality. It could be 2 stars if that’s a 300+ price but a bike for just 160 I don’t have much to complain. It’s perfect for my situation as a beginner to enjoy parks and easy bike trail in CA.

Things I like about this bike: it’s light weight although it’s steel frame, all parts in good shape, come with tools to assemble, paint looks good, and easy to work on, 21 gear to select, And good price. Overall it’s really nice to buy for a beginner trail biker, but you should avoid using it for some serious hard trail biking or downhill, that’s not what it made for.

Things I don’t like: one of the sticker is a little peel off; seat is not comfort after just 10mins riding, I’ll probably switch it to a better one; The third major gear takes longer than the first two gear to hook on; after suspension reach the bottom point, seems like it stays there and won’t release itself back( for this I’m not sure if that’s how it works so I’ll leave a question mark).

Bike isn’t that hard to assemble cuz major parts were ready, it’s my first time to put a bike together and I follow every steps on YouTube, only thing that vedio missing is to put the chain on. But you do need to adjust both front& back brakes.

VERY nice bike for a 10 y/o

I decided to start my daughter off correctly (for the real world) and get her a mountain bike style bike. (It having hand brakes and 6 speed shifter) It is her first bike. I figure if she gets good at this, it won't be difficult to train her AWAY from the styles that peddle backwards for brakes. Well, it worked fantastic! She never fell once and only hit the wrong brake ONCE. I simply detuned the front brake 30-40% less effective and that bike still stops on a dime!

It is a very well made bike, very sturdy, and was a snap to put together. I'm also very happy about the derailed guard. It has some significant wear in 3 months, but derailed looks like new.

I would urge any mom/dad to buy this bike. I would, however, suggest they get some flashing LED lights and put them on. The kid will love them and you get some peace of mind your are making poopkins way easier to see!

Great bike. Cruddy seat.

Ok EVERYTHING on this bike is like 10 stars. The seat. Is like -10. Sooooo hard and uncomfortable. That being said I ordered a extra wide memory foam ventilated one. And the bike is amazing!! Ordered the same bike for my hubby and bike seat and SOOOOOOOOO worth it. Buy a bike seat before you order this bike and your set for life.
