Dubai Police Crack Down on Speeding Cyclists and E-Bike Riders
Dubai Police have recently intensified their efforts to curb traffic violations among cyclists and e-bike riders. Since the beginning of the month, they have impounded 640 bicycles, e-bikes, and e-scooters due to various infractions.
One of the most common violations reported is riding on roads with speed limits exceeding 60km/hr. Other frequent offences include not wearing safety vests and helmets, reckless riding that endangers both the rider and other road users, travelling against traffic flow, failing to dismount at pedestrian crossings, and lacking the necessary technical specifications on their bikes.
